Thara Sawan Waterfall Forest Park located in Moo 1, Moo 5 and Moo 6 of Khuan Ka Long Sub-district, Khuan Ka Long District, situated in Pah Khao Ma Mai Yok Natinal Reserved Forest, coverd the area of 11,077.25 rais. The Royal Forest Department declared this forest park on July 23, 1996.
Topography
Most of the area is protected forest and water shade area. Its high mountain originates Thara Sawan Waterfall.
Climate
Its climate patter can be divided into 2 seasons. These are summer started from February to April and Rainy season started from May to January. Its heavy raining during November to
January.
Flora and Fauna
Its abundant forest. Economical valued trees found consist of Dipterocarpus sp., Intsia palembanica, Hopea sp., Parashorea stellata, Dipterocarpaceae, Mytrtaceae genus, bamboo, various vine and herbal plant species.
Fauna found consists of jungle fowl, monkey, langur, porcupine, gibbon, bat, deer, tiger, bear, wild pig, palm civet and various
species.

Thara Sawan is a very beautiful waterfall. Its watershed area as well habitat for various species of animal. Its suitable for recreation and environmental
education.

By Car
Tara Sawan Waterfall Forest Park situated in the national reserved forest where is approximately 19 kms away from the Forest Protection Unit 1 (Tung Nui). It can be accessible by car and motorcycle. The route to Sawan Waterfall Forest Park is taking Yon Trakan Kham Thorn Rd.-Pracha Song Kraw Rd.-Ban Soi 10 Rd.-entrance to Thara Sawan Waterfall Forest Park.
