Cha-Am Beach The
beach is a seaside district and located at the sunrise coast of
the Gulf of Thailand. It takes only a pleasant three hours (176
kilometers) drive from Bangkok. Cha-Am provides a quiet,
relaxing retreat and is surrounded by traditional Thai ambience.
Cha-Am is well suitable for families and individuals who wish to
escape from the city bustle to a Thai peace of mind.
Direction : It is far 1 km. east of Cha-Am Traffic Lights. Just
keep going on Narathip Road until you arrive at the T-junction,
then you will see the popular beach right there.
Saphan Pla Pier
It is another Cha-Am tourist attractions where
you can go there easily. If you like fishing and seafood, you
will be absolutely amazed by the variety everyday. Moreover,
there are many great seafood restaurants for your choice.
Direction : It is far about 2 km, north of
Cha-Am Tourist Information Centre.
Marukhathaiyawan Palace
This summer palace is referred to as the palace of
love and hope which is located between Cha-Am and Hua-Hin. It
was built under the royal command of King Rama VI in the year
1923, with the materials from the demolished Hat Chao Samran
Palace. It is a two-storeyed wooden pavilion with series of
halls linking each other, and a long corridor leading to the
sea. The compound is closed on Wed., open Mon. to Fri. 8 a.m.- 4
p.m. ; Sat, Sun and public holidays 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Admission is
30 baht per person.
Direction : It is at Phra Ram Hok Camp where it is about 9 km.
south of Cha-Am Traffic Lights.
Khao Nang Panthurat Forest
Park
Most of this area is a limestone mountain. It is
very beautiful and unique. The mountain lies from the north to
the south, and looks like a giant (Nang Panthurat) lying down.
Each area has many kinds of lime stones as well as many
beautiful caves such as Tham Pasang, Tham Mayom and Tham Chaeng.
Direction : It is on Phetkasem Road and San Jao
Pho Khao Yai is in front of the entry.
Cha-Am Forest Park
This is the rest area and located on
Phetchakasem Road, so it is such a nice place for traveler to
break vehicles and themselves because the park has abundant
trees, plants, physical exercise area and animals in the forest.
And the thing you should not miss is a restaurant serving
delicious food there. Cha-Am Forest Park also offers a camping
area and bungalow accommodation.
Direction : It is far about 3 km. on Phetkasem
Road and it is south of Cha-Am Traffic Lights. The sign of
Cha-Am Forest Park easily seen.

Tham Khoa Wat Cha-Am
Khiri
The temple, one of many Cha-Am tourist
attractions, is located in the west of the city and at a small
hill which is called Khao Wat Cha-Am. There is shady around and
quiet for religious practice. The image of Buddha inside was
built in the period of Ayuttaya. You can pay your respect and
cover with gold leaves.
Direction : It is located in Cha-Am Community where is
2 km. west of Cha-Am from Traffic Lights.
Princess Sirindhorn
International Environment Park
It is the sea park where is located in the same
area of Marukhathaiyawan Palace. There is a natural study
walking trail made of wooden bridges along mangroves.
Direction : It is at Pha Ram
Hok Camp (Rama VI Camp) where is about 9 km. south of Cha-Am
Traffic Lights.

Statue of King Naresuan the
Great
Cha-Am
was the city where King Naresuan the Great visited and was also
the place where he made meeting the troops before waging war
with Burmese troops. So, the statue had been built to remember
his mercy.
