Phra That Bang Phuan иҵغѧǹ A very old pagoda, Phar That Bang Phuan houses the holy relics of Lord Buddha. The pagoda received additions in the reign of King Chai Chettha but later crumbled because of rain. The Fine Art Department made complete restoration in 1970. A fun-filled festival is held very January. The pagoda is 12 km. from km. 10 on highway No.211. From available records, the pagoda collapsed into the Mekong in 1847 and over the years drifted to the center of the river where it can be seen today. |
